Founded and led by April (Tennyson) Navin, a passionate music educator and owner-operator, Miss April’s Music specializes in piano, ukulele, and early childhood music classes. Each program is thoughtfully created to help students develop musical skills, build confidence, and experience the connection and joy that music brings. With a warm and encouraging teaching style, April and her team guide students from their first notes to confident performances, celebrating progress every step of the way.

At Miss April’s Music, we believe music lessons should be about more than learning notes on a page. They should be a place where students feel excited to learn, encouraged to grow, and confident in their abilities.

Our classes combine the joy of making music with a strong foundation of musical skills. Students develop technique, creativity, independence, and confidence while building a lifelong love of music. Whether your child is taking their very first musical steps or ready to grow their skills further, our programs are designed to meet students where they are and help them thrive.

We believe music is an essential part of a child’s growth and development. It strengthens brain development, encourages creativity and connection, reduces stress, and helps students build confidence that extends beyond the classroom.

Our small-group classes provide a personalized, supportive environment where students can learn alongside their peers while receiving the attention they need to succeed. We know families have many choices when it comes to activities, and we are passionate about creating meaningful musical experiences that bring lasting joy, connection, and growth.

Music is not just something students learn, it is something they carry with them for a lifetime.
